You’re very welcome here.
Finding the right therapist can feel like an important step, and it makes sense to want to get a sense of who you might be working with.
I’m Frankie, an integrative psychotherapist and an accredited member of the BACP.
You might be someone who feels capable on the outside, but internally struggles with self-doubt or repeating patterns in relationships. I offer a calm, supportive space to begin making sense of yourself and the patterns you may feel stuck in.
My approach is grounded in the belief that many of the ways we cope, such as overthinking, holding things in, or putting others first, have developed for good reasons, often shaped by our early experiences and relationships.
In our work together, I aim to offer a space that feels steady, respectful, and at your pace. I have experience supporting individuals affected by trauma, including domestic and sexual abuse, which continues to inform my approach.
I draw on different therapeutic approaches, including an understanding of attachment and relational patterns, as well as the ways we learn to protect ourselves. Alongside this, I gently incorporate psychoeducation where it feels helpful, supporting you to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Rather than trying to change things quickly, we take time to understand what’s happening beneath the surface. This can include noticing different parts of yourself, perhaps ones that strive, avoid, or feel overwhelmed and beginning to relate to these with curiosity and compassion.
Over time, you may begin to notice a deeper understanding of yourself and a shift in how you relate to your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on what feels right for you.
I work with adults and young people (13+), and offer online, in-person, and telephone sessions for flexibility.
You’re welcome to take your time in deciding what feels right for you. If you’d like to get a sense of whether this feels like the right space for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
