As a qualified integrative counsellor, I combine a variety of therapeutic approaches to provide a personal and effective relationship that supports getting your needs met. Currently, I am able to offer telephone and online therapy sessions.
I believe at the core of therapy is the relationship that we share, therefore I will offer you a space to work collaboratively with me to ensure you have autonomy and trust. I hope sessions offer you a deeper understanding of yourself so that you can build self-esteem and new ways of coping with the stresses that life throws at us.
Counselling can often feel like the biggest and hardest step to take, it is, but as Brene Brown once said “Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity”. This is what The Sage Therapist aims to offer you within counselling sessions, the space and safety to be vulnerable and access various parts of yourself.
Working together is a collaborative process and therefore I offer both short-term and longer open-ended work so that you have the space you need. I work with adults and young people (16 and over).
I do offer some concessions; please request further information when you enquire.
My initial training was in Counselling skills, in which I completed levels 1-3. I then went on to obtain an FdSc Degree in Integrative Counselling from the University of Greenwich.
As well as my private practice, I am also a therapist for a Women's Centre and Outreach Worker for LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
Alongside this, I continue to develop my skills by attending CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshops and events regularly.
